Kids - are you ready to participate in a great event? Then do not hesitate to register for the GREEN LAKE KIDS TRIATHLON.

We are excited to offer this Triathlon to all kids 3 - 12 years old. You will swim in the gorgeous Green Lake, bike around beautiful Spicer, run through downtown with supporters cheering you on. T-shirts and goody bags guaranteed for each participant registered by July 31st. Medals will be given for each gender's age bracket. Check out the pictures!!!

With over 200 kids in 2012 alone, TWC is continuing the tradition of donating all proceeds raised (beyond the cost of the event) to an organization that also promotes a healthy lifestyle for kids. The organization selected for this year's event is:



Children of the Promise is a non-denominational Christian organization started in 1999 by Bud and Jan Bonnema, a Minnesota couple. COTP is dedicated to caring for the physical, emotional, medical, and spiritual needs of sick and malnourished infants/toddlers in Northern Haiti.

The vision for the next 10 years in Haiti is to set a new standard. COTP believes children deserve "the best" no matter where they are born. COTP still believes that there is no replacement for a healthy, loving home; and it will be their goal to help children unite with healthy homes as soon as possible. While in their care though, they will seek to provide a loving, supportive, home-like environment to help ease the transition.

In order to make this a reality, COTP will need to build 8 smaller homes along with several significant utility updates and additions. This project will be a massive undertaking for COTP and will seek to incorporate international volunteers and local Haitian professionals into the construction. Homes will be built in phases, which will in part depend on funding and finding house parents. Each home will cost roughly $35,000 to build. Will you help us build a house?
